In 1978 Sammy started his career with Eagle Star in Ballymena as a Branch Clerk dealing with general insurance.
In 1985 he joined Scottish Amicable in Coleraine as a consultant.
His career progressed to Belfast in 1990 as a senior consultant, and in 1993 he was promoted to Sales Manager in the Glasgow Branch of Scottish Amicable.
When Scottish Amicable restructured in 1995 he was appointed Regional Sales Manager for Scotland, North of England and Northern Ireland.
As he wanted to return to Northern Ireland to live he left that post and set up the current organisation.
